CPU Fan

CPU Fan - you blow me away!

Definition:

A CPU fan is a cooling fan used to cool a computer’s processor or CPU (central processing unit). It is usually used in conjunction with a heat-sink to dissipate the heat generated by the processor. Some computer systems can detect the CPU temperature and control the CPU fan speed accordingly.

Core dump

Core dump, chunky bits!

Definition:

In computing terms a core dump refers to the saving of a software program’s working  information stored in the computer’s temporary memory or random access memory (RAM) to a file on the machine when the program terminates abnormally. This unexpected termination of the program is usually called a crash. Core dump is a dated term and is also referred to as a memory dump.

Facebook Like

Facebook Like

Definition:

The social networking website facebook, provides a like feature which allows facebook users to give positive feedback to their facebook friends on a particular subject or post. It is also common in social bookmarking tools and can be identified by a “thumbs up” icon. Clicking this like icon will cause the like counter to increment and is usually displayed next to the “thumbs up” graphic.

camelCase

Camel case

Definition:

In computer programming terms, camel case refers to a naming convention where multiple words are combined and all spaces removed. Each word in this combined word starts with a capital letter except for the first word e.g. Big + Black + Cat =  bigBlackCat
